HIPE_OP_GET_GEOMETRY
Send this instruction to the display server to request the position and size of a particular element as it is laid out.
- location: The element for which you require geometry information
- No arguments.
Notes
The Hipe display server sends back a HIPE_OP_GEOMETRY_RETURN instruction, containing the left and top position coordinates, as well as the width and height of the specified element.
With location 0 it reports the body. This works even as the client's first instruction, before it has added any content.
The left and top coordinates are in pixels, measured from the nearest containing element that is positioned (one whose position style is relative, absolute or fixed) or is a table or table cell, or from the top-left of the frame's content if there is none. They are not screen coordinates, and they do not change when the element, or anything containing it, is scrolled.
